N.J. singer makes ‘Saturday Night Live’ debut. See Mk.Gee’s performances.

Rising New Jersey singer Mk.gee took the “Saturday Night Live” stage Saturday night, performing two songs in a milestone moment for the young artist.
The Linwood-born multi-instrumentalist showcased recently released single “ROCKMAN” and “Alesis,” from his February debut album, “Two Star & the Dream Police.”
Mk.gee (real name Michael Todd Gordon), 28, did not appear in any sketches during the night, which was hosted by comedian Bill Burr. Both of his performances sported a simplistic setup. Electronic producer Zack Sekoff and guitarist Andrew Aged joined him on stage for “ROCKMAN.”
Gordon is the first New Jersey artist to appear on “SNL” since The Jonas Brothers in April 2023. He made his live television debut in April on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with a performance of “Are You Looking Up.”
Gordon is a graduate of Linwood’s Mainland Regional High School who went on to attend University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. His February debut album earned wide acclaim, mixing indie-rock, pop, lo-fi and electronic sounds. Pitchfork placed it on its “best albums of the first half of the 2020s” list.
Gordon will continue on the “Two Star & the Dream Police” world tour, ending on Dec. 7 in Melbourne, Australia. Watch both “SNL” performances below.
